Jewellers Bench Programme - Manufacturing Programme for Beginners Course Code: JDTI - 114 Programme Length: 3 months, 5 Days a week (60 sessions) Timing: 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM This programme is a beginners course in jewellery manufacturing techniques. Students will learn how to work with machines and use different types of hand tools on well equipped workbenches. One will practically learn technical aspects of jewellery making which is imparted through experimentations with various techniques. At the end of the course the students will work on a manufacturing project and create various products of jewellery. Students can take home the pieces they manufacture. Programme Contents Introduction to tools and technology Basic metallurgy Tips on safety regulations Basic goldsmithing and jewellery making skills such as filing, cutting, drilling, soldering, alloying, forging, wire drawing and sheet rolling.
